Do you have the winter blues?
Do you have the winter blues?
It's hard not to when the weather is so gloomy outside, the comedown of Christmas is hitting hard, and the twinkly lights that made the short days much brighter are boxed up and sit waiting for this year's celebrations.
I think it’s important to get outside as much as possible in winter particularly with the shorter days, grab a bit of sunshine where possible!!
I found solace outdoors ever since my parents took me walking as a young girl.
'Exercise is important to clear the mind and walking is right up there,'
'It is such a tonic, I call it mental wealth. It really helps.'
Like Joe Wicks says 'Being Outside In Nature Is Good For Our Mental Health'
“Get some fresh air. it lifts the family & helps with our happiness”
As a photographer I love to get out and about in the local area and take photos when I can of nature and the beautiful birds and swans that I see on my travels (Having a cheeky Hot Chocolate at the delightful Hilsea Lines Cafe too !! )
These Robin photos were taken on my friend’s mobile phone and edited using lightroom presets.
Do you like to take photos in around Portsmouth?
If so, I’d love to see them if you do.
(I would love to share them on a blog so please only share if you give permission for them to be publicly shared, your location and name too 😊)
